AT&T Dumps Tiger Woods

Sponsor latest to back away from scandal-plagued golfer

(AP) – AT&T is the latest sponsor to ditch former one-man cash register Tiger Woods, joining Gillette and Accenture in backing away from the golfer amid swirling allegations of infidelity. The telecom had previously graced Woods' golf bag, and co-sponsored a tournament in July with Woods as host. AT&T had no comment on how much the endorsement deal was worth, or, er, official word on why it was dropping Woods.

In years to come, this will all be behind him, other companies will pick him up, he'll clock crazy dollars again, he'll have a new wife w/new children and the he'll be forgiven by the general public. Can we move on already...

@aero, when you played pick up ball in high school did you pretend to be Michael Jordan or your dad? Did you actually mean to write "it's only a big deal cause he's a celebrity"? Are you joking? It's a big deal 1. cause he's a major celebrity and 2. he had a squeaky clean image. According to you rlogic AT&T should hire Howard Stern as a sponsor. As for Tiger keeping his head up? Golfers are supposed to keep their heads down.
