Just wouldn't be New Year's Eve without Kathy Griffin hanging out with Anderson Cooper and saying something on live TV that makes him and the censors squirm. This year, she pretends to fumble over the name of Balloon Boy Falcon Heene. "Fal — f---in? Falcon? How do you say it?" Last year, to a heckler: “I don’t go to your job and knock the dicks out of your mouth.”

"Does saying the F-word on live TV even matter anymore?" wonders Rachel Sklar at Mediaite, noting that Griffin promised in advance to forfeit her salary if she said anything bleep-worthy this year. "F-bomb on CNN live, New Year’s Eve. No biggie. Welcome to 2010. ... Maybe we should all just lighten up, it’s a new Yecade, after all." (More Kathy Griffin stories.)
