UT women’s basketball standout Candace Parker can declare for the WNBA draft for 2007, even though she's a member of the class of 2008. Parker, who could play her last college basketball game within two weeks, needs only to show she can graduate by December and that she intends to.
And she can wait to declare her eligibility until less than 24 hours before the April 4 draft. A UT spokesperson recently said Parker will stay at school, and she's on track to graduate by December. Parker could even declare, accept neither money nor agent help, gauge interest and return to UT.
