Yesterday's strangest web trend: bra-themed Facebook updates. Women—and some men—used one-word updates like "red," "white" and "pink," to let everyone know the color of their undergarments. Unsurprisingly, "white," "black" and "beige" were most popular. Some got creative, adding words like "training," "rabbit pelt," "chain mail," and "pleather with spikes," to the mix. The mammary-themed meme appears to have been an attempt to raise awareness about breast cancer, reports the New York Daily News.

LA Snark notes that women were urged to pass along the explanatory message only to other women, to "spread the wings of cancer awareness" and see how long it takes to make men wonder what's going on. How it raises awareness of breast cancer was not elucidated, the writer notes, and as for men, "This information would have been very valuable in junior high." (More bra stories.)
