Pop star Britney Spears is a "habitual, frequent and continuous" user of "controlled substances" and alcohol and must submit to random biweekly drug tests, the judge in her child custody case has ruled, reports People magazine. Spears was also ordered to use a "parenting coach," who will file a report  before a November hearing in the ongoing battle between Spears and ex Kevin Federline over their two young sons.

The judge forbade both Spears and Federline from consuming any intoxicant 12 hours before seeing their children. In addition, the couple must attend a counseling program called "Parenting Without Conflict," cannot use corporal punishment on the children and must refrain from insulting each other. Both parents still have equal access to their children, despite the new arrangements. (More Britney Spears stories.)
