Glenn Beck doesn’t like the 2010 US Census form one bit, because it allows people to identify themselves as “African-American,” a “bogus, PC, made-up term” that is “not a race.” Speaking on his Fox News show, the host offered his objections to the designation. “Your ancestry is from Africa, and now you live in America.” Maybe “your family was brought over in the slave trade,” or “your family immigrated here, or whatever. But that is not a race.”

Beck and his guests discussed people like Charlize Theron, who was born in South Africa and is now a US citizen, the New York Daily News reports. As for black US citizens not born in Africa, he’s confused. “Negro used to be—is it still?—not acceptable, is that still the clinical term, I don’t know,” he said. “What I’m asking is, what are the clinical categories?” (More Glenn Beck stories.)
