(AP) – Mark McGwire has finally come clean, admitting he used steroids when he broke baseball's home run record in 1998. McGwire says in a statement to the AP that he used steroids on and off for nearly a decade. He also apologized for his actions. Said the newly appointed St. Louis Cardinals hitting coach: "I wish I had never touched steroids. It was foolish and it was a mistake. I truly apologize. Looking back, I wish I had never played during the steroid era."

I think any that admitted to steroids are out. Their accomplishments were achieved by cheating. If an Olympic runner won the marathon on a bicycle, I do not think he would get the gold medal. Same thing.

"Looking back, I wish I had never played during the steroid era." --- yeah right, that is a sincere statement. He probably wishes he was sitting around waiting for a Walmart greeters job to open up so he could buy some health insurance like me.

So does A-Rod stay out of the hall also? There are many more who have been caught and more to come probably.
