Looks like late-night host is no major windfall for TBS

(NEWSER) - George Lopez's late-night talk show got booted to midnight to make room for Conan O'Brien. Sacrifices have to be made in the quest for fortune, right? Eh, maybe. Turns out Conan is barely more popular than Lopez Tonight was. The redhead's TBS show officially turned one this week, and the first-year stats are nothing to write home about. Yahoo reports that he averaged 952,000 viewers a night, to Lopez's 911,000, per Nielsen. That's a serious drop from Conan's 4 million-viewer debut. More»

(NEWSER) - Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are on a post-wedding media blitz, which so far is playing out just as one would expect. Four signs the couple is getting even more ridiculous :

• They've already renewed their vows: Yes, a mere six weeks after getting hitched , Kim and Kris apparently felt the need to re-pledge their eternal love to one another, this time in front of a national audience on the Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday. Barr tells Jay Leno she's 'totally serious'

(NEWSER) - Roseanne Barr is running for president, or so she told Jay Leno last night . Could this all be a publicity stunt for her upcoming reality show, Roseanne's Nuts? She claims she's "totally serious," although it should be noted that she also said she's running for "prime minister of Israel. It's a twofer." Her party? "America's Green Tea Party." Her vice presidential running mate? "The taxpayers." Her slogan? "Finally a Politician Who Can't Get a Maid Pregnant." Her key campaign issues include legalizing marijuana, invading Mexico for oil, and eliminating taxes (not to mention eliminating money entirely). Watch the full interview . More»

Jay Leno snags first post-sentencing interview

(NEWSER) - Lindsay Lohan might be facing another stint in jail and is definitely in store for some grim community service , but at least she scored a standing ovation on the Tonight Show. Lohan taped an appearance with Jay Leno that will air tonight, and apparently the crowd loved her, the Daily Mail reports. (It says she got the standing O afterward; TMZ says it happened when she walked on to the set.) Lohan talked about her recent troubles, telling Leno she felt "kind of numb" when she was sentenced to 120 days in jail and admitting she's "made a lot of mistakes." More»

...two years, he says casually

(NEWSER) - What will David Letterman be doing in two years? No one knows, but one thing he apparently won't be doing: hosting the Late Show. He let that little tidbit slip casually while interviewing Howard Stern last night. The clip in the gallery ends, of course, just before the comment, but Splitsider reports that later in the interview Letterman tells Stern he'll only do the Late Show for two more years.
