Oracle President Cops to 8½-Year Affair
A note, apparently from Charles to YaVaughnie, posted on the "Charles And YaVaughnie" website.   (Charles And YaVaughnie, via Gawker)

Oracle co-president Charles Phillips admitted last night to an 8½-year “serious relationship” with YaVaughnie Wilkins—the mistress whose picture was splashed on billboards across the country canoodling with Phillips. Gawker tipsters say Phillips, who is also a member of President Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board, has portrayed himself as divorced since at least 2003. But in his statement to NBC, Philips claims his divorce proceedings began in 2008—without explaining why he was attending high-profile events with his wife as recently as last month.

Perhaps Phillips was leading a double life, romancing YaVaughnie out West while remaining married to his wife back East, Ryan Tate and Adrian Chen speculate on Gawker. The billboards point to a “Charles And YaVaughnie” website (currently down) that, the web designer says, was commissioned as a “gift” from Wilkins to Phillips, but it seems more like a revenge scheme—perfectly timed to coincide with Oracle’s acquisition of Sun Microsystems and the Jan. 27 event the company is hosting.
