(Newser) – The man who gave his voice to Darth Vader and the CNN tagline is the most trusted celebrity in America, according to a survey commissioned by Forbes. Tom Hanks came in second and Michael J. Fox third. Deadlist Catch host Mike Rowe came in fourth and Morgan Freeman fifth, based on factors of likability, reliability, and credibility.

Sally Field grabbed sixth place and Ron Howard seventh, with Will Smith, Bill Cosby and Denzel Washington rounding out the top 10. Celebs can cash in on their trustworthiness. Analysts say endorsements from trusted celebs will continue to be a mainstay of marketing campaigns, despite the mauling some firms received from the Tiger Woods debacle. Click here to see the other new "favorites" list Tom and Denzel just ranked high on (along with Meryl, George).

Yeah, one decent slice into the deep grass makes all the difference (Ha! Get it . . . deep grass! HA! Hahahahaha!). I don't think Tiger would have made the list tho - sneaky little fucker never really said anything and when he did, it was with that smug "I'm not telling anything" air about him.
