iPad Leaves Porn Connoisseurs Flat

The iPad looks unlikely to be changing the porn industry the way Internet-enabled computers and smartphones did—and not just because you need both hands to hold it. The device is designed to download from Apple's app store, the iTunes store, and the iBooks store, none of which are any good for fans of adult entertainment. Besides, there's no DVD drive to watch porn on, Lux Alptraum writes at Fleshbot.

The randy iPad user will have to either visit porn websites using Safari or load their porn films into iTunes. That's the same ways one gets porn onto the iPhone, Alptraum notes, but that device has the benefit of being small enough to offer some privacy, something users can forget about with the bulky iPad. It's true that the device "fills the gap between computers and smartphones," Alptraum writes, but there's no place in that gap for the porn aficionado.
