Sorry, Nancy Grace, You Will Be Filmed in Court

Judge tosses out request to ban video cameras

(Newser) – Despite her protests, Nancy Grace will have to smile for the camera when she gives a court deposition this week: A judge has thrown out the TV host's request to keep the video cameras away from her testimony. Grace will be defending herself against a wrongful death suit by the estate of Melinda Duckett, who killed herself the day after a grilling from the notoriously tough Grace about the still-unsolved disappearance of Duckett's 2-year-old son, ABC reports.

Duckett's family says it was Grace's "intentional infliction of emotional distress" that caused Duckett's 2006 suicide. Grace has countered that "any interview followed hours and hours of police interrogation of Melinda Duckett" and noted that Duckett had previously attempted suicide. A legal expert tells Good Morning America that the case will hinge on whether Grace deceived Duckett to get her on the show.

She's an unprincipled boob... hope the lawsuit is successful and she has to pay up.

She wasn't CHARGED WITH ANYTHING, PEOPLE! It's a wrongful death lawsuit brought on by the estate of the deceased. This is NOT A CRIMINAL CASE. I repeat, for the reading impaired, this is NOT A CRIMINAL CASE.

LOL, good one, Snarfeh. I couldn't answer Ana58 because was stuck in a loop. II kept thinking, you know, she's not terribly ugly or anything from a physical point of view, but wow, she has the most incredibly repulsive personality a woman could possibly have. I truly wonder how she ever found a willing male to breed with.
