Sarah Palin's Book a Bestseller—With Her PAC

SarahPAC paid $63,000 for complimentary copies of Going Rogue

(Newser) – Sarah Palin used $63,000 of her political action committee's funds to buy copies of her book Going Rogue last year. SarahPAC used the money to send copies of the book to donors who'd met a contribution target. The committee also ponied up $8,000 for "colorful bookmarks," ABC News reports.

Palin's use of her PAC to buy her own book is not a first in politics, and not illegal, because she is currently neither holds nor is running for office. It is unknown whether Palin has agreed, as Joe Lieberman did in a similar situation in 2004, to decline to take royalties from the books purchased by her PAC.

This woman is a disciple of Elmer Gantry. Shameful fake and the sad thing is she believes her own hype

Okay Silence, I'll admit. In the weeks before posting my comment above I was weighing the notion of reading the whole thing myself, cover to cover, for integrity's sake. But historically, I never did get any points for reading that which I had been warned was a waste of time, just to be a pill or prove something. Ten years ago, I might have read it. But I'm older, and a bit wiser now. You wont see me going to the next M Night Sham's movie, eating McDonald's next McSomething, or wearing skinny jeans because they're hip. All indicators say, "Just say no."
