Call it an 'excuse' to 'interfere in China's internal affairs

If Barack Obama meets with the Dalai Lama when he visits Washington this month, it’ll “seriously undermine the political foundations of Sino-US relations,” China warned the US today. With those relations already strained by the US weapons sale to Taiwan, meeting the Lama would “threaten trust and cooperation,” a Communist Party official told reporters, according to al Jazeera. “ We oppose any attempt by foreign forces to interfere in China's internal affairs using the Dalai Lama as an excuse.” (More Dalai Lama stories.)
