Dow Falls 27 on Pfizer Earnings

(Newser) – Stocks closed mixed today, as Pfizer lagged on the Dow. The drug-maker posted a doubling in quarterly profit but failed to meet expectations and scaled back projections for future revenue, the Wall Street Journal reports.

  • The Dow fell 27 points to close at 10,270.
  • The Nasdaq gained 1 point, settling at 2,191.
  • The S&P 500 lost 6 points, closing at 1,097.
