Brownie's Pick? Um, Not New Orleans

Michael 'heckuva job, Brownie' Brown says he just follows Colts

(Newser) – The Indianapolis Colts have perhaps taken over as public enemy No. 1 in New Orleans ahead of tomorrow’s Super Bowl matchup with the Saints, but that’s not stopping Michael Brown from trying to get the crown back. Brown, whose handling of Hurricane Katrina as head of the FEMA still gets Louisianans furious, couldn’t bring himself to play nice, or avoid the question entirely, when asked to pick a winner.

“I have to go with the Colts,” Brown tells Politico. “I just tend to follow them more and I’ve just never been a real Saints fan. It’s nothing more than that.” Brown hosts a nighttime radio talk show, on which he now figures to get even more unfriendly callers. Not, as ex-boss George W. Bush might say, a “heckuva job, Brownie.”

@brutal. The issue of the CULTURE of the Bush Administration is, although on the surface Brownie SEEMED incompetent, we will NEVER KNOW. Was it incompetence or apathy. If I'm a world-class doctor, but I DON'T CARE about you, I'm probably as affective as, or less than, someone with NO medical knowledge, but cares passionately for the victim. The Bush administration MAY HAVE had competent people in positions, but the culture was so much about being political friends and accomplices, DOING the job was an after thought, as long as OUR PARTY won. THAT'S one of the main problems I have with our political environment. But let's address the REAL issues: Where is and how BIG is YOUR flag lapel pin? How much do you love freedom? *roll eyes*

Oh, so I guess Brown just wants to destroy New Orleans anyway he can. It's not that it's only a football game and he's simply more a fan of the Colts. It's really some secret plot developed out of his hatred for the entire city of New Orleans. Good logic.
