The 31-year-old performer today made a Halloween-theme announcement, tweeting a pic of herself dressed as a mummy and rubbing her tummy: "It's true. I am going to be a mummy," she wrote. Her first baby with fiance Eric Johnson apparently isn't impeding her schedule, either: She's agreed to mentor alongside Nicole Richie on the forthcoming NBC reality show, Fashion Star, the AP reports. The Sun reports that Beyonce is already hankering for some pretty weird combinations, which, perhaps too predictably, include pickles. "She's snacking on Oreo biscuits and gherkins," says a source. (NEWSER) - Maybe it's because photos of her obviously-pregnant bikini belly were recently splashed all over the Internet, but French first lady Carla Bruni has finally, finally confirmed she's with child. The big reveal comes two months after her father-in-law made the happy announcement himself. 82-year-old confirms Bruni pregnancy, is sure it's a girl

(NEWSER) - There's one more tongue wagging about whether Carla Bruni is pregnant : father-in-law Pal Sarkozy. The octogenarian papa of French president Nicolas Sarkozy says that the pair are definitely expecting, reports the AP. "Neither wants to know the gender beforehand, but I'm certain it will be a girl, and beautiful like Carla," he's quoted as telling Germany's Bild newspaper. Spears is too wacky to give deposition, parents argue

(NEWSER) - Remember crazy Britney Spears? She seems to have been tootling along rather well. But apparently she's still a tad mentally incapacitated. That's what her parents are arguing in court as they battle a lawsuit from booted manager Sam Lutfi, reports KSFM . He's suing Brit's mom, Lynne, for defamation for writing in her book that he isolated the pop star from her parents and was a major negative influence. He's seeking a deposition from Britney to prove that wasn't the case. Now Britney's parents are trying to convince a judge that she's not mentally capable of giving a deposition, reports Billboard .
