The White Stripes have threatened "strong action" against the Air Force Reserve for a Super Bowl ad that sounded an awful lot like their song "Fell in Love with a Girl." The Air Force and Fast Forward Music, the firm hired to score the commercial, have denied knowledge of the similarities between the ad's music and the song. The ad has been pulled, however.

"I had no idea it was like that song," the musician who worked on the commercial tells Entertainment Weekly. The White Stripes took exception, pointing out that while they "support this nation’s military," they object to "the implication that we licensed one of our songs to encourage recruitment during a war we do not support. We don’t want to be a cog in the wheel of the current conflict."
