(Newser) – The actress with Down syndrome at the center of a Family Guy-Sarah Palin feud has slammed the one-time VP candidate for carrying around her son "like a loaf of French bread, looking for sympathy and votes." Andrea Fay Friedman was the voice of Chris Griffin's date on a Family Guy episode that evoked Trig Palin when her character says her mother "used to be the governor of Alaska." Sarah and sis Bristol Palin quickly lashed the "heartless jerks" of the popular program.

"I thought the line was very funny. I think the word is 'sarcasm,'" Friedman responded in an email to media outlets. "In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Gov. Palin carries her son Trig around, looking for sympathy and votes." No word yet from the Palin camp.

Seth played Palin like a violin. She just doesn't have the smarts to realize when she's being baited, nor did she bother to check the facts and find out that the character was strong and self-assured, and even played by an actress with the same condition.

Imagine how easily a hostile world leader or clever lobbyist could jerk Sarah around and she wouldn't even know it!

Good job, Seth! LOL

Palin set herself up for this type of comedy. Her comment about how Limbaugh was allowed to use the word retarded because he was doing it with "satire" in mind showed her lack of conviction on this matter, or any other as far as I'm concerned. All those talking crap about the "liberals" or the "conservatives" would do the world a great service by trying a little common sense, period.
