William Shatner to Play Dad in Shit My Dad Says

' Your wedding's just one more day I can't wear sweat pants'

(Newser) – Those dramatic readings of Levi Johnston's tweets may have doubled as an audition: William Shatner has been cast as the curmudgeonly dad in CBS' pilot based on Twitter sensation Shit My Dad Says. The pilot, to be executive produced by the creators of Will & Grace, will feature Shatner as the always opinionated, regularly profane man behind great witticisms like " No presents goddammit. I'm turning 74. I don't need you to commemorate that with a f-ing Barnes and Noble gift card."

Potential line: Nah, we don't celebrate it. Don't know who St. Valentine was, don't give a shit, and doubt he wants people screwing in his memory.

Looks like another great role for Shatner. He was sensational as Denny Crain.

If they don't censor the show too much, it could be funny.
