Lindsay Lohan has turned herself around after a prolonged brush with rock bottom, and wants to share her inspirational story with the young folk. “If I can teach others, especially teens, by sharing my experiences, then that's what I will continue to do,” she tells the Sun. She says her downward spiral began when her father began speaking publicly about her in 2007. "I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine, and mind-altering substances. It wasn't the answer."
“Now I'm in a place where I don't need to use anything,” she continues, “and I can feel emotions because I choose to.” Which apparently means we shouldn't tsk-tsk her when we hear that she’s…totally drinking again. “I'm allowed to drink now but I know my limits.” Yes, her addictions almost killed her, but they were also blown out of proportion: “I would have been in college,” she reasons. Her 18-year-old brother is in college, “and his friends go out to bars and stuff till whatever time.” But “mine was all in the public eye so it was magnified.”
