The family of a Dallas motorcycle cop who died escorting Hillary Clinton in a campaign motorcade 2 years ago are suing her, the city, and the makers of the helmet he was wearing. Dallas officials didn't give the officer proper training and the Clinton campaign didn't give enough notice that it would require motorcade assistance, claims the suit by Victor Lozada-Tirado's widow and children.

Lozada-Tirado, 49, had been controlling traffic at intersections as Clinton's motorcade rolled through the city. He was killed when he lost control of his bike rounding a curve to perform a "leapfrog" maneuver to pass the motorcade. The lawsuit notes that supervisors had failed to ensure that officers involved in the motorcade had ridden the entire route before the escort. (More motorcade stories.)
