It's a case of kidnapping by online proxy—a New York man demanded a ransom from his ex-girlfriend after hijacking her Facebook page and changing her sexual preference to gay. But he never got the cash: instead his girlfriend went to the police and had him charged with coercion and harassment.

"He was imitating me on Facebook and everyone believed it was me," Jessica Zamora-Anderson tells the New York Post. "I got worried that he wasn't going to stop." The two had dated for about a year—after meeting on Facebook. The 39-year-old boyfriend, who shaved 10 years off his age online, had allegedly become abusive before the Facebook stunt.
