(Newser) – Marie Osmond's 18-year-old son killed himself last night by leaping from his apartment in downtown Los Angeles. Michael Blosil, one of Marie's eight children, left a note that referenced his lifelong battle with severe depression, report ET Online. "Please pray for my sister and her family," said Donny Osmond.

In a statement, Marie said: "My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time." Click here for sad details from the suicide note.

Depression... baloney. Her son was gay and the Osmonds are either delighted that his issue is out of their hair, or they are trying to suppress it, because the nutball Mormons just led the anti-gay effort on Prop-8 in California and they don't want the press; and they don't want his death to work against their politics. All religious people are the same denomination: hypocrites. Time to pay the piper for your foolishness Osmonds.

I am sad for mormons they are living the way of the LORD . Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life and no man comes before the father but by me . To all mormons listen up for this is the truth I tell you. Throw that book away and pick up the bible and learn of the one true savior ! Before its too late for you too ! REPENT Jesus is the Savior not just a good man as you think.

He's at peace now. Let's hope the family finds their own way. Mormons are (to me) a strange lot, but they do pull together at times like this. As much as I disagree with their practices, I wish for them the strength to find another dawn.
