Ignoring Bible Led to SeaWorld Death

Owners let killer whale live; now they deserve death, too

The owners of the whale that killed a SeaWorld trainer Feb. 25 could have avoided it all by following the Bible, Bryan Fischer writes, with the Book of Exodus telling us that if “your animal kills somebody, your moral responsibility is to put that animal to death.” Moreover, those who let the orca, Tilikum, live after he was involved in a 1991 death deserve themselves to be killed.

Again, it’s Exodus that Fischer references on the site of the conservative American Family Association (notorious for going after retailers they see as fighting a war on Christmas): An animal that has killed, then, allowed to live, kills again “shall be stoned, and its owner also shall be put to death. ” That said, Fischer encourages a less Biblical approach for the family of Dawn Brancheau against the “unrepentant” owners: “Sue the pants off SeaWorld. ”
