(Newser) RadarOnline briefly tantalized readers with a juicy rumor saying Chief Justice John Roberts was "seriously considering" resigning for "personal reasons." It then posted an update declaring that he was staying on the court. The original didn't have any sourcing or specifics. The Huffington Post weighed in by citing a previous article in Time magazine speculating that Roberts has epilepsy.

This kind of "journalism" demonstrates the wishful thinking of the liberal, elitist press. It must gall them to have such a brilliant, constitutional jurist on the Nation's highest court. His appointment was one of the few high points of Bush's presidency.
