(Newser) – Authorities have identified the man behind today’s shooting at the Pentagon as John Patrick Bedell, 36, and are seeking a second man in connection with the incident, which left two Pentagon police officers injured and Bedell hospitalized. Sources tell AP that law-enforcement agencies—which now include the Secret Service and FBI—are looking at a man who accompanied Bedell to the Pentagon entrance from the Washington subway.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon police chief tells CNN that Bedell had “no real emotion in his face” as he approached a screening area. “As the officers started to ask him for his pass to get into the Pentagon, he drew a weapon from his pocket and started shooting. … He did not say a word.”

What a shame that radio and TV personalities in an attempt to attract followers to their beliefs are promoting through lies, fear, hate and violence. However, what they are missing is the fact that they put others, as well as themselves into danger with their propagandist filled hate, since there is no control to those with mental illness. It is time that Americans reject fear based commentators, and demand truths and solutions over lies and hate. If this man every listened to any hate filled radio I hope that his family (also those wounded) sues in civil court claiming the fear put forth by lies contributed to this most horrific event.

Get rid of goddamn guns everywhere. Look, for God's sake, more guns in the streets make people LESS safe - These security guards HAD guns and couldn't use them. During a recession, people are fighting to make guns MORE accessible? This is ridiculous.
