Black Bear at Zoo Bites Off Woman's Fingers

And, yes, alcohol was a factor

(Newser) – The signs around the bear's cage say "Stay away from fence" and "Do not feed animals." A Wisconsin woman disregarded both and lost four fingers as a result. The 47-year-old walked past barriers at the Lincoln Park Zoo and started feeding a black bear out of a plastic bag. Her boyfriend also got bit when he tried to pry the bear off her hand. The mayor tells the Herald Times Record that both had been drinking. The woman's 3-year-old granddaughter was unharmed.

I love how they just had to mention alcohol >.> I am not a drinker and know plenty of morons that would do similar without drinking.
