(User Submitted) – In high demand after her popular Snickers Super Bowl ad, Betty White confirmed today that she’s signed on to host Saturday Night Live. No date’s been set yet for the 88-year-old Golden Girls star, who tells People of the renewed interest that includes a 500,000-strong Facebook fan page, “I don’t know why or how,” she says, “but it’s been wonderful.”

I haven't watched SNL in a loooooong time ... but if Bettie White is on, it might be worth watching again!

She is a testament to the fact that just because someone is over 65, they can *still* make a contribution! She has *always* been funny ( I remember her playing Sue Anne Nivens on the Mary Tyler Moore show) ... but her comic timing has, if anything, become even *sharper* with the years!

You BRING IT Golden Girl !

What a great, funny lady.

(hope the SNL writers are up to task, their efforts are typically uneven)
