More sordid details are emerging about disgraced former NY Rep. Eric Massa and his days ogling and groping shipmates when he was in the Navy. When Massa was a commanding officer in the '90s, he used to take his wash down to the self-serve laundry, which happened to be where the junior officers slept and showered. "He was freaking totally meat-gazing!" mate Peter Clarke tells Gawker. "Everyone else used the laundry service."

Clarke imagined Massa thinking to himself: "Who needs Playgirl when I can just come down here and pretend I'm doing my laundry?" Meanwhile, the GOP yesterday called for a new investigation into how Democrats handled sex harrasment allegations against Massa by male staffers. If it goes ahead, the inquiry could well become an election-year embarrassment for the Dems. The Democrats haven't lived up to their vow of being the "cleanest and most ethical Congress in history," one GOP congressman tells the Washington Post.
