A Florida man has been charged with child neglect after he—while drunk—left his 4-month-old daughter in her stroller in some bushes at the Universal Studios parking lot while he searched for the girl's drunken mother. The infant was alone for 2 hours before a park employee found her, shaken but healthy. She was taken to the hospital nonetheless, and is now in protective custody.

The events of Saturday night make little sense to the un-addled mind, the Orlando Sentinel reports. The mother, Ashley Gaskin, was picked up by park security for trespassing in the employee parking lot around 10 pm, and taken to the security office. Later, boyfriend Charles Gohde arrived and questioned her about the whereabouts of their child, and Gaskin began yelling, “My baby! My baby!” But Gohde apparently knew where the child was, or should have, since he’s the one charged with ditching her in the bushes. (More Ashley Gaskin stories.)
