(Newser) – Top-seeded Kentucky took a huge halftime lead tonight, then held off a game effort from No. 12 Cornell to win, 62-45, and end the Big Red's surprising run in the NCAA men's basketball tournament. The Wildcats (35-2) advanced to the tourney's final eight, and will play No. 2 seed West Virginia on Saturday for a shot at the Final Four.
