The RNC staffer fired for reimbursing a consultant for a $1,946 night at a bondage club has been revealed: It was Allison Meyers, director of the “Young Eagles” program, sources tell Politico. It was her job to recruit donors under 50 years old. The now-infamous trip to Voyeur West Hollywood apparently occurred directly after a Young Eagles event.

It's unclear if Meyers was actually at the club, or merely approved the expense. The RNC’s chief of staff wouldn’t confirm Meyers’ identity, but did add that the fired staffer “had been previously counseled on this very subject.” But don’t expect Meyer’s firing to solve everything for the RNC, which has a “big problem,” according to an ex-member. “It really raises the issue of what is the RNC being run for? The benefit of the chairman and a bunch of consultants?” (More Michael Steele stories.)
