Imagine this: You buy an old suitcase from the Salvation Army, get it home, and discover that it has $100,000 hidden in its lining. It’s your lucky day right? Well, not if you live in Australia. A Melbourne-area couple who found themselves in that situation have been arrested and charged with “theft by finding.”

A woman had accidentally donated the suitcase, unaware that her husband had hidden so much money inside, reports the Sydney Morning Herald. By the time she realized and called the store, it had been sold. But police tracked down the purchasers, arrested them, and have recovered the money, which the couple had foolishly hidden in an obvious place: the bank. (More crime stories.)
