Hunt's On for Burma's Hero Bloggers

Posted Oct 1, 07 9:14 AM CDT in World

(Newser) – Burmese bloggers whose accounts and photos of the Saffron Revolution and the brutal crackdown by the military dictatorship riveted the world last week are now  being hunted by authorities, reports the Times of London. With the Internet shut down and the streets swarming with troops, the bloggers have gone underground.

All computers are issued under license, so the bloggers are easy to trace. “When things were hot on the streets, we were not the main worry,” said one blogger who's been sleeping in a different place every night. “But as the situation cools down, they will follow us. They know who we are, they know we are bloggers, and I am afraid."
