Weird crime of the week: a South Carolina man who responded to a request to turn his music down by jamming a 6-foot python into his fellow motel guest's face has been arrested for assault and battery. "I almost had a heart attack," said the victim, who had earlier told the snake owner that he was terrified of reptiles. "I dropped to my knees and actually crawled back into my room," he told the Rock Hill Herald.
The snake-wielding assailant "had the snake’s head squeezed so its mouth was open," said the victim, who escaped with a few scratches. "He ran it across my face and it tried to crawl in my mouth.” Police—who listed the weapon used as "other" in their incident report—arrested the snake owner after allowing him to release the reptile to a family member.
