(Newser) – Bombs exploded throughout Baghdad today, targeting Shiite mosques and neighborhoods, including the office of anti-US cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. A neighborhood in Anbar province was also hit with six roadside bombs. At least 61 people have been killed and nearly 112 wounded, CNN reports.

At least two car bombs hit worshipers in Sadr City, killing 21, while another eight died in a car bomb explosion outside Muhsin al-Hakim mosque in southeastern Baghdad. The attack on Sadr's office came just as worshipers left their Friday prayers, killing 14, reports the AP.

Thanks for opening this can of worms, GOP.

Maybe the tea baggers should remove the fleshy orbs covering their face and tell us why they weren't protesting this massive waste of taxpayer money. Tools.

Those poor people, imagine if this occurred in any American suburb - on a seemingly daily basis.
