Video of Animal Abuse Prompts Raid of Pet Supplier

They sell hundreds of thousands of animals annually to companies like PETCO, PetSmart and Petland as well as many other small pet stores across the country. Based on the disturbing undercover video PETA made inside the Atanta facility owned by Sun Pet, abusing small animals for profit and amusement is quite common, including supervisors instructing the new employee on how to physically squeeze a small rodent with enough force to make the male genitals protrude when sexing them.

The graphic video shows hamsters put into a plastic bag and bashed against a table to kill them, and sick or injured animals shipped back from pet stores without food or water. PETA has turned over its findings to law enforcement officials. Read the full article at Digital Journal.
