(Newser) – Miley Cyrus' new music video features the caged heat of the baby singing sensation, writhing, grinding and heaving in barely-there S&M duds with wings and a $25,000 metal corset. She plays a kinky bird in a cage vamping it up for an audience as she connects big time to her inner pole dancer and dumps the Disney. It's hard to imagine she's just 17. The video for Can't Be Tamed (because "I'm hot like that") has triggered a deluge of drooling praise, disgust and ... confusion.

"Wow she looks 27. The whole wings thing was a bit weird," writes one YouTube viewer. Another notes: "I guess she's just growing up." An un-fan pipes up: "Who cares if she's skanky? She can't sing." The definitive comment comes from Miley, who insists: "The video isn't about being sexy or about who can wear less clothes. It's about explaining the song and living the lyrics." Uh-hunnh.
