Lady Gaga is nothing if not consistent when it comes to providing bizarre behavior for the rest of the world to gossip about. The latest installation: On Monday night, she refused to walk the red carpet at the Met’s Costume Institute Gala, then locked herself in her dressing room because she was...stricken with stage fright? “She literally wouldn't come out,” a source tells the New York Post.

Friends and music executives tried to convince her, but it was artist Terence Koh and none other than Oprah herself who finally coaxed her out. She apparently lost her stage fright by the time her performance started, telling the 700 guests that co-host Anna Wintour asked her not to swear…and that she would do her “[bleep]ing best” not to. Arguably the best part of the story: Bono walked out halfway through her set.
