Ben Roethlisberger has led Pittsburgh’s beloved Steelers to two Super Bowl victories—but even a die-hard fan with a tattoo of Big Ben says, “It's to the point where he's embarrassing the franchise.” Sports Illustrated takes an extensive look at Roethlisberger’s most recent accusation of sexual assault, and the downward spiral of bad behavior that led to it:

  • On the night he was accused of assaulting a 20-year-old woman, Roethlisberger ordered shots for several women, some of whom told him they weren’t of legal drinking age. At one point he held a tray of drinks and yelled, “All my bitches, take some shots!”

  • One of Roethlisberger’s bodyguards allegedly guided the accuser toward the restroom with Ben. A source says the quarterback’s intentions were to have “Clinton sex” (oral sex) with the woman.
  • Four days before his last sexual assault allegation—a hotel employee in Lake Tahoe in 2008—Roethlisberger and some friends “mocked, made fun of, and mimicked” a waiter who was later fired as a result of the incident.
  • A few weeks before the Milledgeville allegations, Roethlisberger was overheard saying crude things to a pregnant waitress including, “Did your boyfriend forget to pull out?”
