Police in Nevada are probing the mysterious death of 25-year-old pro golfer Erica Blasberg. She was found dead at her Las Vegas home Sunday, and authorities have declined to say whether there were suspicious circumstances. Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy and toxicology report on Blasberg, a 6-year veteran of the LPGA Tour.

The loss of Blasberg, who played on the victorious 2004 Curtis Cup team, is a "tough hit" for women's golf," an LPGA spokesman tells AP. "She was a very popular player and well-liked and we're going to miss her," he said. "This is a very close-knit group of players and tour, and we're saddened by what happened." (More LPGA stories.)
