US Coast Guard on the lookout for overdue boater

(User Submitted) – MIAMI – USCG crews are trying to determine the whereabouts of an overdue boater, Friday, 5/21/10, who reportedly did not arrive in Marathon Fla,. as scheduled. Glen David Brandt, a 48 yr-old from Bradenton, FL, left Nassau Harbor Club Marina 5/9/10 in a 46’ white hull, blue canvas vessel named Genesis, due to arrive in Marathon FL, for fuel 5/15. Family called the USCG D7 Command Center in Miami at ~10pm 5/19 to report that Brandt had yet to arrive. The USCG responded immediately by issuing an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast and requested the assistance of local Bahamian officials and nearby mariners to keep a sharp lookout for Brandt.
