William Lashes Out at Paparazzi

Posted Oct 6, 07 1:48 PM CDT in World Arts & Living

(Newser) – Prince William blasted the paparazzi after they "aggressively" pursued him and his girlfriend in a high-speed car chase in the wee hours, the Guardian reports. The chase comes just days after the beginning of an inquest into the death of Princess Diana under similar circumstances. The prince's spokesman called the timing "incomprehensible."

The royal family lodged a complaint with the press commission, and British papers refrained from printing photos, Reuters says. The photographers were itching to get shots of William and Kate Middleton as they left a London nightclub. Meanwhile, bookies closed betting on the couple getting engaged. Said one: “It is no longer a question of if they get married, but when."
