(AP) – A Foxconn Technology worker tried to kill himself today, becoming the 13th person to commit suicide or attempt to do so this year at the company, which makes high-tech products for industry giants such as Apple, Dell, and Hewlett-Packard. Police said the 25-year-old man survived after cutting himself in his dormitory room at the factory in southern China.

The 12 previous incidents at Foxconn Technology Group's operations involved workers who jumped from buildings. Two survived. Another worker killed himself in January at a factory in northern China. The company says it's working to prevent suicides by hiring more counselors and even installing nets. The chairman said he couldn't sleep at night and dreaded answering his phone in off hours.

All they need is a little weed after work to wind down and relax, but China isn't going to figure that out.

with the suicide rates in these countries, this stuff is not news. the numbers should be way up at these factories based on the averages, so why the media shitstorm? oh, right. cause our media is a complete failure at every step of the way.
