A dramatic rescue off the coast of Gloucester on Memorial Day weekend now has Coast Guard officials chastising the men they plucked out of the ocean. The reason: The only electronic item the boaters had on board was a cell phone, which died soon after they fired off a 911 call to report their pleasure boat was sinking. They bobbed in the ocean for five-and-a-half hours before Coast Guard rescuers finally found them. Officials say in water that cold, they would have only survived about a half hour longer.
