NYT Corrects MIA Article
In this Sunday, Feb. 6, 2009 file photo, MIA poses for a photograph backstage at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.   (AP Photo/Matt Sayles, file)

You win this round, MIA: After the rapper posted secretly-recorded audio clips from her interview with Lynn Hirschberg, the New York Times Magazine added an editor’s note correcting Hirschberg’s article. “While MIA did make those remarks” in question, “she did not make the entire statement at the same point in the interview, or in the order in which it was presented,” reads the statement, referring to comments about Sri Lanka's civil war and Bono.

It goes on to give the correct order (read the offending quote here) and allows that “the article should have made clear that the two quotations came from different parts of the interview.” No word, though, on who really ordered those darn truffle fries.
