Fifteen years after her husband ran off with their two children, a California woman has located her daughter—on Facebook. The father, who the woman says vowed she'd never see the kids again, has been arrested in Florida, but the story doesn't have a happy ending, reports the San Bernardino Sun: After communicating with the woman for a while, the daughter broke off contact.

The daughter and her brother, now 17 and 16, " regarded another woman as their mother ," says a San Bernardino County prosecutor. Her Facebook page has disappeared, and both children are in state custody in Florida. "The teenager said, 'Not interested in a relationship. We just have a happy life. Leave us alone,'" he tells NBC Bay Area.
