A few possibilities:

- Stairs: Sometimes Cruise stands a few steps above Holmes, although this trick only works if photographers focus on their upper halves.
- Flats: Ever the perfect wife, Katie often ops for shorter heels or flats—probably in an effort to make her hubby feel taller.
