Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss tells the Los Angeles Times it isn't inconceivable that he would trade Kobe Bryant if an offer of sufficient value arose. In his first public remarks since an off-season punctuated by disruptive comments from the team's star, Buss said other teams had made offers for Bryant, but none was good enough to take.

Bryant, now 29, has four years and $88.6 million left on his contract, although he can cancel it in two if his dissatisfaction with the team—stemming from two consecutive first-round knockouts—doesn't abate. "I would like to think that we win between now and then so that it doesn't come up," Buss said. (More Kobe Bryant stories.)
